Packaging homebrew – bottling & kegging

Objectives

This unit will take completely fermented beer from the fermenters and put it in bottles for carbonation and serving.  Students will use common homebrewing equipment to step through racking beer from the fermenter, priming it, transferring it to bottles and sealing them.  We will discuss the process of carbonation and prepping the beer for consumption.

By the end of this Unit, you will be able to:

  • Apply principles and practices of cleaning and sanitation to bottles and bottling equipment.
